Gatik Secures $200M to Scale Autonomous Middle-Mile Logistics

Gatik, the middle-mile autonomous trucking specialist, has successfully raised $200 million in a funding round led by the Qatar Investment Authority and Koch Disruptive Technologies. This influx of capital comes on the heels of a significant commercial milestone: a multi-year deal with PepsiCo to integrate autonomous delivery into the food and beverage giant’s supply chain. Unlike long-haul autonomous trucking, Gatik focuses on the "middle mile"—short, repeatable routes between distribution centers and retail locations.

This strategy has allowed Gatik to simplify the technical challenges of autonomy by mastering specific corridors rather than attempting to solve for every possible road condition. The company’s success in removing the safety driver from its operations in several markets has proven the commercial viability of its stack. With this new capital, Gatik plans to scale its fleet and expand into new geographic hubs.

The funding signifies a renewed confidence in autonomous vehicle (AV) technology when applied to constrained, high-value logistics. By focusing on B2B short-haul routes, Gatik avoids many of the regulatory and safety hurdles currently plaguing robotaxi services, positioning itself as a leader in the industrialization of autonomous transport.
